After months of planning, hundreds of headlines and years of training for the world’s top athletes, the Rio 2016 Olympics are finally here!  The opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janerieo kicked off on NBC on Friday, August 5th.  This was the first time since 1990 that the opening ceremony was held in a venue other than a athletics stadium holding around 78,000 spectators in the stands.  If you missed the opening ceremony, check out the link below.  Also check out the Olympics schedule below to make sure you don’t miss your favorite sports teams or athletes who are competing!
