jared is the founder of starpower which, along with his long time friend and colleague matthew lalin, he launched from the ground up. by combining his genuine passion for business and all things entertainment, jared has developed one of the most innovative approaches in the branded entertainment world.
upon graduating college in 1992, jared joined omnicom group’s steiner sports where he quickly rose to become its president. after 15 years, jared made the decision to launch starpower. by skillfully building a culture of collaboration and trust, starpower has become one of the most trusted agencies and global advisors of best in class brands. starpower has offices in new york and los angeles and regularly executes business internationally.
with over 22 years of experience in the sports and entertainment space, jared has cleverly crafted some of the most innovative and award winning partnerships. marketers such as american express, coca cola, diageo, dick’s sporting goods, ford, galderma, mars chocolate and neiman marcus have all entrusted jared’s business savvy, tenacity and creativity in the execution of their business objectives. jared has generated transactions valued at more than 200mm in talent and content partnerships.
jared has appeared in various media outlets such as the new york times, new york daily news, new york post, los angeles times, new york magazine, usa today and the sports business journal as well as cnn, fox and espn radio. jared has spoken at conferences such as the public relations society of america’s “leveraging entertainment to build your brand” and has served as a board member of women at risk, now under the auspices of new york-presbyterian hospital.
jared graduated from the university of hartford with a degree in communications. he currently resides in westchester, new york with his wife and two sons. he is a dedicated little league coach, a passionate metallica fan and loves to play hockey.
