The Smollet clan is taking over TV, look no further than to the Food Network.  The Food Network ordered six half-hour episodes of “Smollett Eats” which will showcase their favorite foods and recipes among the six siblings, including “Empire’s” Jussie Smollett and “Underground’s” Jurnee Smollett.  Jake Smollett is the head chef of the family and will feature their two sisters as well.  The show will air in August of 2016.

The Smollet’s aren’t the only ones with a new TV show, Ayesha Curry, wife of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, will host a six episode series shot at her home called “Ayesha’s Homemade.”  Her show will blend cooking segments with a glimpse of her life as a NBA wife.  Her show will debut in the fall of this year.

Sara Herron, a former Bachelor contestant, felt the timing was right to launch her own nonprofit for girls with disabilities called SheLift; an organization she hopes will change the lives of young girls struggling with self-confidence.  Currently she is the art director and creative producer at 72andSunny and was the first contestant to appear on The Bachelor with a physical disability.

She created SheLift after climbing Half Dome in Yosemite National Park.  SheLift will hold day events, but will focus on larger hiking or skiing adventures to get girls outdoors and help them to find their confidence and self worth by accomplishing something they never thought they could do.   The long term goal is to organize one big outing of adventures every quarter.  Other celebrity mentors involved in SheLift are Amy Purdy, Jen Hudak and Trista Sutter.  Learn more about SheLift in the link below!

After dominating and winning gold on Tuesday’s final, the U.S. women’s gymnastics team revealed their new nickname: The Final Five!

The five ladies who are representing team U.S. in Rio are Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian.  Their name, The Final Five, was chosen in honor of Martha Karolyi, the U.S. national team coordinator, who will retire following the Rio Olympics this summer.  This will also be the last U.S. team to win Olympic gold with a five member team, hence the relevance to their nickname.

The Final Five, flourished under the pressure to prove they’re still the best in the world!
